The two Jockey Club buildings, which are timeshares, have a new skyscraper neighbor…the Cosmopolitan Resort Casino in Las Vegas (visit link to see photos of how close these two developments are). Because the Cosmo sits so close to and actually surrounds the Jockey Club, many items had to be considered.
The Las Vegas strip construction scene is dramatically changing as the New Frontier hotel and casino prepares for implosion. Roughly $14 billion worth of luxury condominiums, hotels and mega resort casinos will soon fill this block.
This is my November 2007 update for the Cosmopolitan Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas currently under construction. Cranes are now onsight and steel is rising, especially around the Beach Club Tower.
MGM MIRAGE’s CityCenter project continues it roar skyward. With what seems like every construction crane available in the US, this multi-billion dollar project continues to astound the mind.
The Fontainebleau Las Vegas resort hotel and casino contributes approximately $3 billion worth of construction to the roughly $20 billion dollar total coming into the north section of the resort corridor. Higher density is the name of the game as the LV strip runs out of land.
