The two Jockey Club buildings, which are timeshares, have a new skyscraper neighbor…the Cosmopolitan Resort Casino in Las Vegas (visit link to see photos of how close these two developments are). Because the Cosmo sits so close to and actually surrounds the Jockey Club, many items had to be considered.For decades now, the Jockey Club has enjoyed two sides of pure Las Vegas strip views from it’s hotel rooms. On the south side, units could look down towards Mandalay Bay, MGM Grand, Monte Carlo, Luxor and New York New York. Today, the same south facing time-share properties look direct at a massive steel wall just 10-15 feet away. (again see link above to witness when this first started in June 2007)Because the Cosmo boxes the JC in on three sides, the developers of Cosmo offered to provide subterranean parking to the JC in the underground parking garage they’re building. There will actually be a section in the garage reserved only for owners and guests of JC. Also included in the special area will be elevators that will lead to the Jockey Club’s new lobby.
In the video below, you can see the Cosmopolitan Resort Casino in Las Vegas wrapping behind and around the western part of JC. Also seen is the new underground parking entrance for JC (being worked on).

On the north side of the Jockey Club property, some rooms still feature nice views of the Bellagio fountains and will continue to as this is the only side of the development that Cosmo doesn’t affect. The Cosmopolitan Resort Casino in Las Vegas could have even better views. MORE attractive is the fact that owners of fully furnished turn key condotel units will enjoy an amenity most LV Blvd. hotel and luxury condominium buildings can’t claim…balconies. Both the Beach Club Tower and the main Cosmopolitan Resort Casino enjoy awesome balcony views. It could be argued as the best view in Sin City as high-floor units look all the way down the strip towards Caesars Palace, Wynn, Trump and the future $8 billion Plaza Hotel Las Vegas.
